THIS YEAR'S SHOW
Measure Up is a new musical theatre work co-written by Ellis Gage and composer Sean P. Pallatroni. At its core, the show is a fantastical, fairy-tale-style musical that uses a whimsical setting to explore very real modern issues, especially perfectionism, body image, and restrictive eating.
The musical takes place in a fictional kingdom called Criterion, where strict traditions define beauty, success, and worth. The protagonist, Princess Alia, is about to ascend the throne, but there’s a catch: she must fit into a magical, enchanted dress required for her coronation.
When she realizes she can’t fit into the dress just days before the ceremony, it sets off a crisis. Alongside her dresser and an unlikely companion (a thief), she embarks on a secret quest to find a solution, believing magic might “fix” her in time to meet expectations.

About the program
Every summer, Revolutionary Youth Theatre opens its doors for the annual Summer Intensive. Designed specifically for teens who are serious about growing in the performing arts, this immersive experience goes far beyond typical theater.
Over the course of the program, students are challenged to sharpen their skills in acting, dance, and vocal performance while building the confidence, discipline, and creative instincts that define exceptional performers. It’s a focused, high-energy environment where young artists are encouraged to take risks, push boundaries, and discover what they’re truly capable of.

2026 TEACHERS
Here at Revolutionary Youth Theatre, students have the incredible opportunity to work one-on-one with Broadway actors, learning what it truly takes to become a compelling performer. Here are the stars that will be leading the 2026 Summer Intensive:
Matías De La Flor
AEA - SAG Actor, Director, & Teacher
Based in New York Matais coaches in English, Spanish, and his best Portuguese
Español mix. His studio’s students range in their career paths, ambitions, and
curiosities. As an actor, he’s been seen on Broadway in Lincoln Center Theatre’s
Tony Nominated production of Camelot. He is a member of the original cast and
played Lancelot at the Lincoln Center Gala. On Television, season 27 episode 4 of
Law and Order SVU, and the upcoming season of Apple TV’s Your Friends and
Neighbors. As a director, his production of Lorca’s Blood Wedding is in New York
industry presentations.
Olivia Elease Hardy
AEA - SAG Actor
Originally and proudly hailing from South Jersey, Olivia would like you all to know that she is a very nice person and not at all mean like her beloved and troubled character she presently portrays in Heathers the Musical on Broadway.. Notable credits include Delia in the 2023 Tony Award Best Musical, Kimberly Akimbo, and Duckling Donna in the 1st
National Tour of Summer: The Donna Summer Musical. A student of the world, and also The University of Michigan
Ellis Gage
AEA - SAG Actor
Ellis has appeared in the original casts of James & the Giant Peach (Goodspeed
Musicals), Dani Girl (Cherry Lane Theatre), and Phyllis Newman’s Flying to Neverland , sung in contemporary works with the Metropolitan Opera,
and earned an IRNE Award for The King & I (North Shore Music Theatre). Recent credits include Far From Canterbury (Barnstormers Theatre), the FlyBoys National Tour, and Richard Maltby’s Noble Family. Other favorite projects
include work with Prospect Theatre, Bay Street Theatre, Huntington Boston Lyric
Opera, and Wheelock Family Theatre. As a producer, Ellis develops new works
and educational programs focused on stories of empathy and resilience. ms/productions with a mission to shine a light on stories about empathy and
resilience.
Bob Cline
Bob Cline is the founder of Bob Cline Casting in New York City, recently recognized by Broadway World as one of New York's 10 Best. He has cast film, TV commercials, more than 70 national tours, and hundreds of regional theatre productions nationwide. His credits include national tours of Shrek, Elf, Beauty and the Beast, Hairspray, and many more. Bob is also a proud faculty member at Pace University's Theatre program, where he has quided Senior BFA Musical Theatre majors for nearly 10 years.

The Revolutionary Youth Theater Summer Intensive will take place June 22–July 25, 2026 and is open to students ages 14–22.
The cost of the Summer Intensive is $350 for the full program. All proceeds directly support RYT’s mission to invest in future resources, including bringing in Broadway professionals and expanding opportunities for the next generation of artists for years to come.
